Opis

Quantum Day, held on the second day of the Wrocław Center for Networking and Supercomputing’s 30th anniversary conference, is entirely dedicated to the rapidly evolving field of quantum computing and quantum technologies. The event brought together leading researchers, technologists, and enthusiasts from across Poland to explore the state-of-the-art developments and challenges in this cutting-edge domain.

The program featured a series of accessible yet insightful talks covering the theoretical foundations, hardware innovations, and practical applications of quantum computing. Presentations highlighted both global trends and local achievements, with particular emphasis on the regional development of quantum infrastructure.

A focal point of the day was the unveiling and discussion of Odra 5, the first superconducting quantum computer in Central and Eastern Europe, hosted at WCSS. Participants had the rare opportunity to tour the data center and see Odra 5 in operation, alongside the Lem supercomputer, which was recently listed among the world’s top 100 fastest computers (TOP500).

Quantum Day provided a platform for open dialogue between academia, technology providers, and the general public, marking a significant milestone in the integration of quantum technologies into Poland’s scientific and computational landscape.
